Area around the restort

Lubiatowo

It is situated on the seafront. It is a settlement that has been turning into an attractive leisure resort in recent years. It is a very quiet and picturesque place, surrounded by forests. The road to the beach runs through the forest, which is - depending on the season - full of berries, blueberries or mushrooms.

The forests and fields there are inhabited by numerous animal species. Here you can see e.g. deer, hares, foxes and wild boars. In the forests there are several bike paths that lead to many beautiful places. Lubiatowo is also home to a horse farm, which organizes riding lessons, children's rides and off-road expeditions e.g. to the beach - for hardy riders. In Lubiatowo, there are three stores to satisfy everyday needs, and fast food facilities open during high season. Near Lubiatowo (about 1.5 km) there is Lake Kopalińskie, which is the ideal spot for fishing.

Beach in Lubiatowo

Stretching for miles, clean, fine and very wide (up to 60 meters wide in some sections) - this white beach is undoubtedly the highlight of the region. It is unquestionably one of the most beautiful and cleanest beaches of the Baltic Sea.

Whatever the time of year, even in high season, here is where you can find peace and the quiet corners of the Pomeranian coast. Away from the besieged beaches, such as in the near Białogóra and Dębki, here is a picturesque and peaceful place, where silence is only interrupted by a few gulls that still easily find their place here, with nature and the sun devoid of the hustle and bustle of civilization.

The air full of iodine and the refreshing sea breeze make you feel like you are on an unspoiled beach, feel the blissful calm, slow down and just breathe.

Immediate area

Immediate areaIn the neighbourhood, a few kilometres away, there is the town of Choczewo, where you can go shopping in a supermarket and eat well. There are many attractions, such as the Stilo lighthouse or Lake Choczewskie. The nearby Gniewino is also a beautiful village, offering such attractions as a swimming pool, a bowling alley, a movie theatre, an observation tower and river canoeing down the Piaśnica River, from the Żarnowiecki lagoon to the sea. Of course, we cannot forget about the nearby Leba with its attractions, such as shifting sand dunes of the national park and the dinosaur park.

Lubiatowo is near to other well-known beach resorts like Dębki and Białogóra, which offer a variety of entertainment, especially for teenagers. The already mentioned Lębork and Wejherowo (about 60-70.000 inhabitants), located 40 km away, are also worth visiting. Of course, one cannot miss the peninsula with Władysławowo, Jastarnia and Hel and the so-called tri-city i.e. Gdańsk, Gdynia and Sopot, which also enchant visitors with their vast attractions.

Tourist trails

Recommended tourist trails:(see also the map on the right)

Green trial, 10 km long, runs around Lake Choczewskie, swerving to Starbienino. The path is intended to present the lake as a natural resource, showing a wind turbine and solar panels as alternative energy sources. There are signboards set at each of these points, and our scenic route also includes places to rest.

Yellow trial, 9 km long, starts just beyond Choczewo and passes through Kierzkowo towards the Szklana Huta forester's lodge, where the trail crosses the blue one. It ends in the woods, on the border with the Krokowa County. We offer this trail in order to increase traffic safety. You can take it to reach the sea, bypassing the Choczewo-Lubiatowo road, which is busy during the high season.

Blue trial, 13 km long, starts at the car park just beyond Osieki /here you can leave your car and change for the bike/. It goes toward the natural-forest track and further north near the Lubiatowo Dune along the coast, through Lubiatowo and Kopalino, and finally connects to the yellow trail. The blue trail is intended to present forest issues and the activities of foresters in the woods. It shows the firehouse, the dune pine woods, dune vegetation, and natural monuments. It also aims to draw attention to the problem of preservation of the dunes, the reinforcing of the coast. Along this trail you can see the old German cemetery.

Orange trial, 22.5 km long, starts at the Amber Promenade /pedestrian and bicycle route connecting the villages Kopalino-Lubiatowo/ and runs through agrotouristic villages: Kopalino, Sasino and Słajszewo. Walking along it, you can admire the ruins of a watermill, the Stilo lighthouse and mountain pines growing on the dunes. The trail terminates in the village of Sasino, on the border with the Wicko Count.
